The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:\n* Utilize specialized knowledge of product categories to provide excellent customer service and promote health and wellness.\n* Guide customers, with the support of the pharmacist, as they make purchasing decisions on products related to their wellbeing (vitamins, OTC, specialty foods etc). \n* Achieve or exceed sales targets through customer education and one on one sales.\n* Effectively partner and communicate with the pharmacists to assist customers in the selection of products.\n* Support, embrace and implement new initiatives to support wellness and health trends.\n* Develop and maintain merchandising displays for the health and wellness categories in accordance with the plan-o-grams.\n* Promote pharmacy and wellness services and support script growth initiatives.\n* Continue to expand knowledge of health trends and new products to educate customers.\n* Engage customers to complete a vitamin profile to grow the category.\nExperience / Requirements:\n\nThe following qualities are required:\n* Minimum age of 18 years old to meet Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician certification requirement.\n* Ability to pass drug test.\n* Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.\n* Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.\n* Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.\n* Ability to work weekends on a regular basis.\n* Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis.\n* Ability to work day or evening hours.\n* Accuracy and attention to detail.\n* Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.\n* Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.\n* Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines.\n* Typing speed of 40 WPM.\n* Proficiency with the Microsoft\u00aeOffice Suite (Word and Internet Explorer).\nEducation:\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus one (1) year experience in the retail industry with experience in vitamin and/or OTC medicine; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nApply for this job:\n\n* Apply for this jobonline\n* Refer a friend to this job\n\n\nRite Aid is an Equal Opportunity Employer", "date_new": "2011-11-26 18:07:02", "url": "http://riteaid.jobs/xml/25053661/job", "country": "United States", "company": "Rite Aid", "title": "Wellness Ambassador", "reqid": null, "state": "New York", "state_short": "NY", "location": "Jamaica, NY", "uid": 25053661}]
