The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:\n* Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve assigned problems regarding store registers, terminals, printers, universal power supply (UPS) devices, telephones, gift-card readers, magnetic-strip readers, and radio frequency (RF) input devices.\n* Thoroughly detail all actions taken and maintain progress reports within the current problem-tracking application.\n* Track problem resolution when dispatching a third-party vendor or Rite Aid Field Technician to complete on-site repairs.\n* Escalate problem calls to higher-level representatives when necessary or request guidance when obstacles prevent timely resolution.\n* Log, code, and prioritize calls while assigned to dispatch duties.\n* Seek out additional formal and on-the-job training to expand skills required to meet business demands and to prepare for promotion to higher-level support roles.\nExperience / Requirements:\nOther Skills, Abilities, and/or Training\nThe following qualities are required:\n* Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.\n* Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.\n* Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.\n* Ability to work weekends on a regular basis.\n* Accuracy and attention to detail.\nThe following qualities are helpful:\n* Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis.\n* Ability to work day or evening hours.\n* Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.\n* Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.\n* Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines.\n* Typing speed of 40 WPM.\n* Proficiency with the Microsoft\u00aeOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).\n* Ability to read, write, and/or speak a second language.\nEducation:\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus three (3) to six (6) months\u2019 experience in a retail environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nApply for this job:\n\n* Apply for this jobonline\n* Refer a friend to this job\n\n\nRite Aid is an Equal Opportunity Employer", "date_new": "2012-04-23 19:46:37", "url": "http://riteaid.jobs/xml/28079554/job", "country": "United States", "company": "Rite Aid", "title": "Support Representative", "reqid": null, "state": "Pennsylvania", "state_short": "PA", "location": "Mechanicsburg, PA", "uid": 28079554}]
