Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direction and assistance in the completion of daily merchandise and operating tasks and to perform such other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Provide superior customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, handling all customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner, and responding to customer complaints/concerns with a sense of urgency to see to their resolution.
• Attend to merchandising of plan-o-grams within seasonal departments, end caps, displays and basic inline departments as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
• Control inventory by performing proper receiving and stocking including accurate cycle counting, processing merchandise transfers according to procedures, and reporting inventory problems to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager.
• Accountable for store cash and other financial assets, reconciling cash register drawers, preparing deposits, and ordering changes from the bank as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
• Assist with the general maintenance and appearance of the store by ensuring a safe and pleasing environment for both customers and associates; respond to any unexpected emergencies to ensure the protection of company assets.
• Oversee that store inventory is regularly inspected in accordance with the Product Freshness Review Schedule as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
• Ensure that all outdated product and product with less than 30 days until expiration is removed from the sales floor to be processed through the established returns process.
• Manage tasks and supervise store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable.

Supervisory Experience:

This position involves managing tasks and supervising store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable. Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager with serving customers and maintaining the Pharmacy department. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

4. Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory where permitted by state law.
5. Create prescription labels and put them on prescription containers where permitted by state law.
6. Place medication into prescription containers where permitted by state law.
7. Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer and prescription data into the computer system where permitted by law.
8. Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.
9. Assist in inventory management processes including: order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.
10. Administer Rite Aid programs including: FlavoRx, Living More, etc.
11. Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the following licenses and/or certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician certification where required by state law.
- Rite Aid Technician Training Program certification in all modules, job  class/codes up to and including “Pharmacy Technician”.
- Successful achievement of Rite Aid’s Pharmacy Technician Certification.

• Execute weekly sales ads and price changes; process recalled, damaged, outdated, and transferred merchandise.
• Receive merchandise deliveries from vendors and Rite Aid distribution centers; verify vendor invoice information is accurate and enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable system.
• Prepare the retail store for physical inventory by ensuring merchandise on the sales floor and in the stock room is in order and easy to access.
• Analyze operating reports and make recommendations for improvement.
• Utilize Staffworks® /Workforce Management software to complete the associate work schedule.
• Remain knowledgeable of the One-Hour Photo department and film processing, if applicable.
• Assist the Pharmacy department when there is a high volume of customers.
• Provide leadership and development for associates by communicating career opportunities, providing regular performance feedback, and demonstrating RAPTAR (Recognition, Appreciation, Praise, Treat Associates Respectfully) behaviors.
• Manage the adherence to all regulatory and compliance legislation and policies.
• Ensure that all outdated product and product with less than 30 days until expiration is removed from the sales floor to be processed through the established returns process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may involve managing tasks and supervising other store associates in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the operation of an individual store in particular markets in an efficient manner while maximizing sales, margin and profitability. Enforce company policies and procedures while ensuring directives and all daily activities deliver against the expected operating standards, merchandising programming and budgeted financial targets. This position promotes and drives customer service. Successful performance of this position requires the performance of managerial tasks with independent judgment and discretion. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.

In exercising his or her independent judgment and discretion, the associate is responsible for performing the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Lead store associates through the execution of company business plans/objectives to drive sales, be profitable and provide a superior customer and associate experience.
• Attend to opening and closing the store and maintain proper accountability for cash handling and company banking.
• Manage an individual store while meeting store retail budgeted sales, margin, labor, expenses and overall P&amp;L monthly results to ensure operating EBITDA and income are achieved.
• Ensure via the use of Staffworks/Work Force Management that labor is scheduled to meet customer service needs and complete operating activities and ensure the same standards of operation are enforced in the pharmacy department.
• Interview, hire, train, direct, reward, and discipline associates; appraise associate performance; and resolve complaints.
• Provide leadership and development for associates by communicating career opportunities, provide regular performance feedback, and demonstrate SMILE and
• RAPTAR behaviors to both external and internal customers and associates.
• Manage adherence to all regulatory and compliance legislation and policies.
• Perform all job duties necessary to providing a clean, safe, and pleasing environment to customers and associates by following company standards for safety regulations and overall store appearance both inside and outside of the store; maintain and follow rules in Clutter Free.
• Maintain merchandise standards according to the POMP manual, profit planner, corporate plan-o-grams and on-going merchandise information.
• Participate in and supervise the preparation and accountability of retail store physical inventory and develop action plans to achieve expected results.
• Manage store’s vendor relationships.
• Responsible for price accuracy of goods in the store.

This position directly supervises store associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws.



Experience / Requirements:

• In accordance with state law, candidates must satisfy minimum age requirements to sell and/or supervise the sale of alcohol and/or tobacco products.

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to direct stores to operate in an efficient manner, adhering to company policies, procedures and programs that maximize potential sales, script growth, margin and profitability. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also
required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Supervise Pharmacy Managers to operate an efficient pharmacy and execute against the district/company business plans/objectives to achieve sales, script growth, margin and profitability and hold entire team accountable.
2. Lead in providing excellent customer service.
3. Conduct frequent store visits and complete tour sheets to ensure stores are in compliance with will-call, deletes, workflow, replenishment, inventory control, DEA controls and overall company standards of operation in the pharmacy.
4. Demonstrate SMILE and RAPTAR behaviors to both internal and external customers and associates.
5. Participate in the planning and development of district retail budgets including sales, script growth, margin, labor and expenses and overall P&amp;L results monthly to ensure operating income and EBITDA are achieved.
6. Ensure all pharmacists are actively building profitable sales and script growth through Clinical Services. Including but not limited to Immunizations, MTM (Medication Therapy Management), and Diabetes Specialist.
7. Assure all pharmacists and pharmacy technician execute all company initiatives.
8. Provide leadership and development for associates by communicating career opportunities, providing regular performance feedback, and scheduling any and all required training.
9. Use key performance indicators to monitor and improve customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and workflow standards in the pharmacy.
10. Execute WFMS in the pharmacy to ensure that labor is planned for customer service and completing operating activities while achieving labor budget.
11. Drive training and development of Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Interns, Pharmacy Technicians and ancillary personnel.
12. Partner with Loss Prevention Manager to monitor and maintain proper compliance with all federal/state regulations including DEA, HIPAA, CIA, etc, and resolve any issues with noncompliance implementation or training required to bring store/individual into compliance.
13. Participate in the recruitment, selection, hiring, placement of Pharmacists and promote and place associates in positions for long term career development.
14. Participate in developing district succession plans for all key pharmacy positions with the District Manager.
15. Ensure customer service programs are properly implemented and adhered to in order to guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
16. Execute all corporate marketing, merchandise, and operations programs to drive sales, script growth, and profits in all stores within the district.
17. Meet with District Manager to address ongoing operations and drive accountability with pharmacy and store management for profitability.
18. Liaison for store/pharmacy management teams and the corporate office providing direction and urgency to execute on company objectives and programs.
19. Conduct annual and ongoing performance appraisals for Pharmacy Managers and Pharmacists. Provide performance input for Store Managers, Assistant Store Management, Shift Supervisors, and all pharmacy ancillary personnel ensuring all ADP’s are executed and progressive counseling occurs where necessary.
20. Direct activities associated with remodels, resets, and script acquisitions with the District Manager.
21. Drive script growth or protect market share from competitive openings with the District Manager.
22. Maintain communication with professional, civic, and governmental organizations.
23. Adhere to all FSLA laws, regulatory compliance, and OSHA requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises Pharmacy Managers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Education:

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) or equivalent, plus a minimum of five (5) years experience in management and pharmacy operations and Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
